Scenic2

The Scenic earned a good reputation amoungst professionals as well as XC pilots. The idea behind the Scenic2 was to take the Scenic and improve it, modernising the wing and generally cleaning it up as well as making it lighter and giving it a more modern look.

The Scenic 2 is even better than the original Scenic with all the new technology that is built into the latest wings from the Airwave stable.

The Scenic 2 has a hybrid sail which makes the whole glider a full 1kg lighter, which obviousely makes the launch even better, especially in light winds. Also Airwave used the newest materials available at the market for the Scenic2.
One improvement is the the new mylar tape at the leading edge instead of the heavier, folded mylar tape. This keeps the sail cleaner in this area as well as being lighter and more flexible.

The Scenic2 is certified as DHV1-2 with standard risers with negative trimmers and is also available with fast risers with have both, positive as well as negative trimmers. Both riser options have 'Eternal Trimmers' .These are specially made risers so you can replace the trimmer webbing without having to replace the whole riser when the webbing shows sign of.

One feature of the Scenic that demonstrates its safety is the way the glider can be flown easily solo. Even lightly loaded the pilot maintains a considerable safety margin from deep stall. Sink rate and glide are both very good, and the glider makes a very good
professional tandem wing as well.
